Which expired domain companies send their domains to NameJet and SnapNames

Hourglass running out of time

Want an expiring domain from one of these registrars? You should backorder them at NameJet or SnapNames.

Last month, NameJet and SnapNames began auctioning expired domains from BlueHost and HostGator.

Both of these platforms are owned by the same parent company, Newfold Digital, as the auction platforms. The company owns a number of other prominent domain registrars, such as Network Solutions and Register.com, which also sell their domains through NameJet and SnapNames.

I reached out to the company to get a list of registrars that send their expired domain inventory to NJ/Snap. Here’s the list:

  • Network Solutions (including merged accounts from Web.com)
  • Register.com
  • Domain.com
  • Bluehost
  • Hostgator
  • Dotster
  • PublicDomainRegistry
  • Logicboxes/Orderbox registrars
  • SnapNames/NameJet Dropcatching Registrars
  • CrazyDomains
  • IONOS Registrar group
  • Ascio
  • Automattic (WordPress)
  • OnlineNic

To be clear, domains from these companies are sent to NameJet and SnapNames before they go through the full pending delete process. If no one purchases the domains during this phase, then they proceed to deletion.
