A vacation rental site paid dearly for a .de domain name.
My heart skipped a beat when I saw the top .com sale on Sedo’s sales list this week. I previously owned buno.com, which sold for $95,000. I sold it for pennies.
Granted, that was back in 2005. A great deal has happened to domain name values over the past twenty years. And the person who bought it from me sold it to someone else, who sold it to someone else…still, it stings a bit.
Another notable sale on this week’s Sedo list is watch.now for $79,888. .Now is having a moment, and it remains to be seen whether or not it’s just a moment. For a top level domain to have sustained momentum, people must use the domain name. Witness .io, .ai, and even .xyz (once crypto adopted the domain).
We don’t know who bought either of the domains mentioned above, so let’s move on to what this column is about: verified end-user sales.

Ferienhaus.de €357,000 – FerienHaus is a vacation rental company in Europe. The term means vacation home in German. The Euro is surging against the dollar, so this is equivalent to about $420k.
Confirmo.com $28,750 – Confirmo is a stablecoin payments company. It uses the domain confirmo.net, and owning the matching .com is critical for its credibility.
GitLaw.com $13,080 – GitLaw is an AI product for lawyers.
BCgame.fi, .ro, .pl, and .ee €9,500 each – I suspect the buyer is the online gambling site behind bc .game.
Quince.tr €8,500- Quince keeps buying ccTLDs through Sedo.
DDC.xyz $8,500 – DayDayCook is a publicly traded Asian cooking business (NYSE: DDC) that has shifted to being a bitcoin holding company. You can’t make this stuff up.
NabiHealth.com $6,940 – Nabi Health is a team of Thiel/Mayfield Fellows, Y Combinator, and Stanford founders building a new behavioral healthcare system. It will start by focusing on eating disorders.
BBSWorldwide.com $6,000 – BBS Inc. is an advertising firm.
CandleCapital.com $4,960 – Candle Capital will offer a professional trading product.
SmokingHub.com $4,960 – Smoking Hub is a newsletter for cigar aficionados.
Boat24.cz $4,500 – This domain forwards to Boat24.com, which sells boats. Boat24 is a repeat customer.
Galaxidi.com €4,000 – Galaxidi is a fish farming company. It forwards this domain to GalaxidiMarine.farm.
GCPN.com $4,000 – Global Private Cloud Network forwards this domain to a login page at gpcn.io.
VogueFabrics.com $3,999 – Vogue Fabrics appears to be building a store, but everything you click goes to a login page. The domain forwards to VogueFabricsInc.com.
Gicre.com $3,839 – Based on an email address in Whois, I believe the buyer is General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC).
Order1.com $3,519 – Order1 is some sort of Amazon affiliate company.
Artarium.com $3,500 – The Artarium sells interesting indoor decor products. It forwards this domain to TheArtarium.com.
InSchool.org $3,488 – In School is a program from Corus International to help girls attend school.
Cocobox.com €3,060 – Cocobox is a general retailer that helps customers buy items from the Amazon US catalog and get them shipped to Argentina.
KindChaos.com $2,775 – Kind Chaos will be a Shopify store.
Upvest.de €2,749 – Upvest offers an API for investment companies. It forwards the domain to upvest.co. The .com appears to be owned by a different company.
Canity.de €2,749 – Canity offers business software for dog trainers to manage appointments, courses, payments, etc.
AthenaAcademy.com $2,550 – Athena Academy is a school for dyslexic children in Palo Alto. It uses the matching .org.
DistrictIQ.com $2,499 – DistrictIQ sells AI-powered school board intelligence systems.
GenVu.com $2,498 – Gen II provides administration tools to private equity funds.
OneAI.de €2,000 – OneAI is a toolkit developed by Relyon.
Nebbia.pl €2,000 – Nebbia sells workout clothing. It forwards this domain to nebbia.fitness.
Moony.org €2,000 – It’s not money, it’s mooney. This was purchased by a decentralized finance (DeFi) company.
