Tool suggests domains based on business concepts and naming preferences.
Domain name marketplace Atom launched a new “semantic search” tool today.
The company’s goal is to surface domain names that will be a good fit for businesses that they might not have otherwise discovered.
It builds off Atom’s learnings about what people search for and what they buy. People don’t necessarily want to buy a domain that has the keyword they search for.
Semantic search is an AI-powered chat that helps people refine their search from idea to domain qualities.
It typically begins with a basic search, such as “a name for a wellness app” or “a name for a streetwear clothing brand.” This delivers an initial list, which is then refined by asking questions such as “Would you prefer a bold, modern name or something with more attitude and edge?”
The search tool returns 100 domain results at a time. It currently only shows Premium domains, but Atom CEO Darpan Munjal told Domain Name Wire that Plus listings might be added in the future.
