Companies bought these 14 domains this week

An industrial parts company, a law firm, and a private equity research platform bought domain names.

Before we proceed to this week’s list, I would like to mention an anecdotal finding.

As I research domains for this list and others, I’m coming across more and more domains being monetized by zero-click ads, which are ads that forward directly to an advertiser’s site. I predicted that this would happen when Google Adsense for Domains effectively shut down. Unfortunately, many of these domains redirect to scam sites that claim users’ computers are infected with a virus. Zero-click advertising companies must find a way to clean up their act. (To clarify, the domains I’m referring to aren’t parked at Sedo, but rather are pointed to new nameservers after they were purchased.)

I’m off my soapbox, and now on to the list. Sedo’s top two public sales this past week — qfx.io for $49,888 and dcf.org for $45,000 — haven’t been developed yet, but are likely end-user sales.

Here’s a list of end user domain name sales that were recently completed at Sedo. You can view previous lists like this here.
