Companies show lower (but still impressive) growth in the latest list of fast-growing private companies.
Two DNS companies made the 2025 Inc. 5000 list, which measures fast-growing private companies in the United States.
Top level domain company Identity Digital made the list for the fifth year in a row. It came in at #4,214 with 82% revenue growth between 2021 and 2024. Last year, it ranked #3,235 with 152% growth.
Identity Digital took over management of the .ai namespace in January, which should give the company healthy revenue growth again this year. Under Inc.’s methodology, Identity Digital should be able to include all wholesale revenue from .ai domain sales.
Security and data company Whois API came in at #4,271 with 80% three-year growth. Last year, the company was #1,847 with 273% growth. Whois API has been on the list every year since 2017, except for 2020.
