Domain transactions declined at Escrow.com in Q2

Despite sequential decline, first-half dollar volume was up sharply compared to last year.

Domain transaction dollar volume at Escrow.com slipped in Q2 compared to Q1, the company reported today. However, it was up for the first half of 2025 compared to the first half of 2024, thanks to a strong first quarter.

The company handled USD $196.9 million of domain name transactions in the first half of the year, up 9.3% year over year.

It didn’t provide a specific number for Q2, but this chart shows the relative decline:

While domain transaction dollar volume was up in the first half, Escrow.com as a whole reported a 2.9% decline in gross payment volume to AUS $378.6 million.

Despite this, revenue increased 32% in the first half, thanks in part to price increases.

The company is also touting a beta integration with Shopify.

Escrow.com is part of publicly traded Freelancer Limited (ASX: FLN). The company swung to a profit of AUS $1.9 million in the first half, compared to a loss of AUS $1.0 million in the first half of 2024.
