Fairwinds finally moves its website to its own dot-brand domain

After advising clients on dot-brand domains for years, Fairwinds makes the move itself.

Domain name and intellectual property consultancy Fairwinds Partners has moved its website to a dot-brand ahead of next year’s top level domain application window.

The company submitted 133 top level domain applications on behalf of its clients in the 2012 expansion round, and it claims to have submitted more dot-brand applications than any other advisory firm.

It also applied for the dot-brand .fairwinds.

Yet, until now, it continued to use its domain name FairwindsPartners.com for its website.

That probably created some awkward conversations when the company pitched clients on applying for dot-brand domains in the next round.

Now, the company is eating its own dogfood.

Having gone through the transition itself, it probably has a clearer picture now of everything that’s involved with moving from .com to a dot-brand.

Its primary website can now be accessed at home.fairwinds.
